RC Consulting empowers you to build your grant fundraising program step by intentional step.

You know your organization’s value and have a deep commitment to the work.

But finding the right funders, communicating that magic to them, and managing all the moving parts of a robust grant program . . .

That's where things can get tricky.

You don’t just need a grant writer. You need a thought partner.

By pairing my experience with your organizational knowledge, we’ll establish a transformational, mission-fueling revenue stream that sustains your nonprofit in the long term.

RC Consulting's Grant Fundraising Strategy Process

At the end of the process, you’ll walk away with your custom Grant Fundraising Roadmap including:

  • A clear Case for Support and supplemental materials you’ll need to submit applications that cut through the noise.

  • A targeted list of vetted funder prospects, with cultivation plans for high-priority prospects.

  • Recommendations for optimizing roles, responsibilities, and workflows for staff and board to support grant fundraising efforts.

  • Recommendations for a phased implementation of your Grant Fundraising Roadmap.

Feeling the relief already?

  • “Rebecca is a breath of fresh air who took a genuine interest in our foundation's mission and success from day one, and she quickly became part of our team. Thanks to Rebecca's expertise and diligence we now have a Case For Support we can confidently submit when applying for grants that highlights the value-add our organization delivers for the high schools and colleges we are serving throughout New England. Her positive impact for KyleCares has been immediate, leading to our recognition as the Boston Red Sox Foundation's 2020 Massachusetts IMPACT Award Winner. I highly recommend Rebecca to any organization.”

FAQ

  • A grant writer develops messaging and applies for grants on behalf of an organization. While this can be part of the work I do with your nonprofit, our initial work together is focused on formulating a realistic plan aligned with your broader fundraising and organizational goals. I'm first and foremost a thought partner and advisor, giving you the confidence and tools to  ensure every application is worthwhile and every dollar serves your actual needs. After we develop your Grant Fundraising Roadmap, I offer optional execution support through ongoing grant advising or grant management services.

  • I support small nonprofits across Eastern Massachusetts with a wide range of missions. I have a particular passion for issues impacting women, youth development, education, and social services.

  • I’m comfortable working with any tools you have in place, from your Excel spreadsheet collection to RaisersEdge, Salesforce, Little Green Light, or whatever database powers your purpose.

  • The answer to this question is dependent on what we uncover during the discovery phase. In fact, it’s one of the reasons this part of the process is crucial. My clients see wins like increased award sizes, new funding partnerships, expanded portfolios that include higher-profile philanthropic institutions, and more multi-year funding commitments. While the specific gains you make will depend on your starting point, grant fundraising is a smart way to bring long-term stability to your budget.

  • Our work will guide your efforts for the next 12–18 months as you secure funding for your current programs. As your organization evolves and grows, your programs may expand or change, and you'll naturally expand your list of funders. I recommend refreshing your grant strategy annually to ensure you build on your successes. If we’ve already developed your initial Grant Fundraising Roadmap, please reach out to discuss a Grant Strategy Refresh.

  • The total cost depends on factors such as the size, complexity, and life-stage of your grant fundraising program, and your goals. After an initial call, I can provide a detailed proposal outlining the costs for your specific scenario.

  • The timeline for an initial grant fundraising strategy process is typically around three months.

Imagine what you could do with an expert thought partner by your side and a plan custom-built for your organization’s resources and goals.
